India and Dave tied the knot over the weekend at a little known, but seriously special wedding venue called Gibson Mill. Located in the picturesque town of Hebden Bridge, Gibson Mill can be found nestled in the beautiful woodlands of Hard Castle Craggs and is the perfect place for an intimite wedding ceremony. As the day unfolded I got to know how what a sweet and loving couple these two are; nothing shows how much the moment meant more than when India cried through the whole ceremony - it was so endearing.
When India first contacted me about photograping her weddding, it was clear they wanted to make the day as relaxed as possible. Not the sort of couple to go for big traditional moments for their wedding day, they opted for a more laid-back approach. Guests were treated to coffee and tea served in pretty china, and chocolated covered stawberries to eat after the ceremony. India chose the most stunning flower arch to hang behind her and Dave during their ceremony, I've never seen anything so spectacular in all the weddings I've photographed...safe to say I was in awe of the flowers (provided by The Willow Garden, Hebden Bridge).
After the ceremony their very own secret retreat was awaiting at Landfarm Gardens in Colden. Another hidden gem and rarely used for weddings; somehow India and Dave had discovered it and had their reception set up in the gorgeous Exhibition Hall. The fabulous Eat Me Drink Me treated guests to an array of tasty treats in posh-buffet-style (when I say posh, I really mean it - the food was a peice of art in itself, and tasted out of this world good), while the children were entertained by a very funny magician!
